Welcome to Zone Press, an imprint of Rogers Publishing & Consulting, Inc., that showcases the work of Texas authors, artists and musicians. Zone Press is committed to publishing quality work by Texas authors, while our online Zone Press bookstore also offers Texas music and Southwest art.
Rogers Publishing & Consulting, Inc. was started in 1988 by Dr. Jim O. Rogers, a career educator as well as a writer and artist. He perceived a need from public, private and charter school administrators around the state for the Texas Administrative Code, which he began publishing annually as an in-house operation. His business soon expanded when he recognized additional needs by administrators for other educational publications that today include the Texas Education Code, School Board for board members and superitendents, and the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) manuals for all three grade levels (elementary, middle school and high school).
In 2000, Rogers Publishing & Consulting, Inc. expanded to include the Zone Press imprint to allow a focus on publishing books about Texas written by Texas authors. Today, Zone Press's catalog contains more than 25 fiction and non-fiction titles, in topics ranging from murder-mystery novels to inspirational stories and sports stories.
We are located just north of Dallas in Denton, Texas, and we aren't shy about our deep love for the Lone Star State and its writers, artists and musicians. It is our goal to promote and sell books, CDs and art by talented writers, musicians and artists who for whatever reason have never signed major contracts with Corporate America. It is our belief that these folks do really good work!
